I'm not writing this up.  If you've not seen it, you're all the poorer for it - but it's a fine bit of early 80's cinema.  And, of course, established Kurt Russell as a non-Disney star.

    I’d hang that honour on The Thing.

    I think it's likely the 1-2 punch of the two movies? This one came first, and it had better box office. The Thing had a real character to play, and proved the first one wasn't a fluke. A year after The Thing, he was doing Silkwood.
