I'm going to start making an effort to talk directly about a comic, comic news, etc... and less about fan reaction. Its sort of tedious, and not good for any of us, I think.
And with that: I have no idea what the point of this blog might be anymore.

I think that idea is eminently doable, actually. Admittedly, I don't read a lot of comics, but to the extent that I'm interested in them I'm pretty interested in hearing about what you think about certain books and creators, and I might be receptive to hearing the opinions of a handful of other insightful critics and writers, but the overall impressions of fanboy audience? Not so much. From everything I keep hearing, they're just not a group with opinions that I tend to respect a whole, whole lot.

Anyway, I've made a pledge to myself to quit actually reading anything but news items. The rest is increasingly a big waste of time.
Well, obviously you can't lump all fanboys together. And there have been moments when you were really getting yourself worked up when I might have tuned you out for a moment or two. But there's a difference between reasoned, logical critic and rabid fanboy.
